Biography
Who is Janelle Martin? Well, I'm a native of Seattle, Washington and
music is what I do best. I have been trained as a classical flutist since
the age of 12. I attended Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma and received
a Bachelor of Arts degree in Flute Performance which I then followed up with a
Master of Arts Degree in Church Music a few years later. Currently,
I teach flute and participate with the Worship Team at Neighborhood Life Center
in Tukwila, Washington.
It is my desire to use the gifts and talents in music on a new level to touch
more lives for Christ. Music is a universal language that will reach where
words or actions may not. My favorite passage that I have held
dear for years is:
Matthew 5:14-16 (NKJV)
"You
are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor
do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it
gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before
men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
